Alba included in Spain squad

Spain coach Vicente del Bosque has named Valencia full-back Jordi Alba in his squad for the upcoming Euro 2012 qualifiers against Czech Republic and Scotland.
Alba, a 22-year-old defender, is the only new face in a 23-man squad for the two fixtures, with Barcelona centre-backs Carles Puyol and Gerard Pique also being named after returning to fitness. Puyol has not played for his country since last November due to injury.

Fernando Torres, who has struggled for goals with Chelsea since his big-money move from Liverpool in January and did not make the bench for Spain's last match against Liechtenstein, keeps his place in his squad.

Barca midfielder Andres Iniesta, whose goal won Spain the World Cup last summer, is missing as he recovers from a hamstring tear sustained against AC Milan earlier this month.

Atletico Madrid centre-half Alvaro Dominguez, Sporting Gijon defender Alberto Botia and Barcelona B man Martin Montoya, who were all named in Del Bosque's last squad ahead of the friendly against Chile and Euro 2012 qualifier with Liechtenstein, have also been omitted.
